Terroir
The Mandelberg (literally almond hill) dominates the village of Mittelwihr. The slopes are steep, with south-east exposure. The terroir is clay-limestone.

Winemaking
Harvested by hand. Sorting in the vineyard. Direct pressing of whole grapes. No sulfur under the press. Natural sourdough. Aged on fine lees for 6-9 months. Minimalist filtration.

Tasting and gastronomy
Fine, expressive nose with notes of accacia honey. Fine, concentrated mouthfeel, fresh, taut finish.
Pair with fish, shellfish, seafood, white meats and sauerkraut.
