Vineyard

Old vines: 30 to 40 years Planting density: 5,000 vines/ha.
Tillage: ploughing, composting, mowing.
Treatments: Bordeaux mixture, sulfur, plant infusions and seaweed extracts.

Terroir
Grand Cru Froehn: a sunny, early-maturing terroir of Lias clay and marl with a limestone reaction, sprinkled with sandstone at the summit.

Winemaking

Direct pressing of whole grapes. No sulfur under the press. Natural sourdough. Aged on fine lees for 6-9 months.
Minimalist filtration.
