Dry wine
This unique wine is the fruit of experiments to produce a dry wine from our most aromatic grape variety: Gewurztraminer.

Grape variety
100% Gewurztraminer

Vineyard
Vines planted in 1991.
Planting density: 5000 plants/ha.
Tillage: ploughing, composting, mowing.
Treatments: Bordeaux mixture, sulfur, plant infusions and seaweed extracts.

Terroir
Our finest Gewurztraminer comes from the old vines of the Grand Cru Froehn: a sunny, early-maturing terroir of Lias clay and marl with a limestone reaction.

Winemaking
The grapes were picked before they reached the usual over-ripeness of a traditional Gewurtraminer. Skin maceration to extract the aromas and just the right amount of tannins needed to preserve this low-sulfite wine. Pressing before the end of alcoholic fermentation.
Malolactic fermentation.
Aged for 6 months partly in oak barrels. Filtered wine.
Low in residual sugars.

Tasting and gastronomy
Bright orange color. The nose is very expressive, revealing floral and fruity aromas of rare intensity, with exotic and spicy notes in the background. Surprise on the palate: the tasting begins with the elegant attack of a very dry wine, where the symphony of flavors is harmoniously balanced. Spicy finish with protective, preserving tannins.
Perfect with white meats, cheeses and exotic cuisine.

Guard
2 to 3 years
